About Pixerbook
The company, agents and MCP.
What is Pixerbook?
Pixerbook is an AI-driven software company building products for photography studios first, and for media and creative businesses next. It makes four products, each sold on its own subscription: the Pixerbook Platform (a web app that runs the studio), Pixerbook Moments (guests find their event photos with a selfie), Album Studio (album design for Mac and Windows) and Datasafe (encrypted backup for Mac and Windows).
Who is Pixerbook for?
Photography studios — wedding, event and portrait — from a single photographer to a studio with a team of editors and crew. The platform covers enquiries, bookings, shoots, crew, invoices, payroll and client photo selection, so it suits studios that want the whole business in one place.
Are the products ready to use?
Every Pixerbook product is in beta. They are used on real shoots at Impixer Photography, a working wedding studio with the same owner, before anyone else gets them — and they change quickly as a result.
Do I have to buy everything together?
No. Each product is its own subscription. You can use only the Platform, only Moments, or only a desktop app, and you are never charged for a product you have not asked for.
What currency is Pixerbook priced in?
Indian rupees first, with prices also published in US dollars, British pounds and UAE dirhams. Annual billing is 20% off the monthly price.
What are Pixerbook Agents?
An AI assistant inside the Pixerbook Platform. Ask in plain language — typed, spoken, or by pasting a WhatsApp or Instagram chat — and it drafts the lead, payment, reply or weekly plan. Nothing is saved until you confirm, and every change it makes is logged in Agents › Activity with Undo.
What is Pixerbook MCP, and which AI apps does it work with?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to reach real tools. Pixerbook MCP lets you use your studio from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Gemini CLI and any other MCP-compatible app. You choose Read only or Read & change per app, the agent asks before it changes anything, and any key can be revoked in one click.
Can an AI agent change my data without asking?
No. Agents and connected AI apps see only what you can see in Pixerbook, ask before changing anything, and log every change with Undo. Apps set to Read only cannot change anything at all.
How do I get a demo?
Request one on the contact page. Demos are about 30 minutes over Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams — your choice. Send one past event beforehand and the demo is set up with your own photographs instead of sample data.
How is Pixerbook related to Impixer Photography?
They are two businesses with one owner. Impixer Photography is a working wedding studio; Pixerbook builds the software. Every feature is used at Impixer on real weddings before it is released.
Pixerbook Platform
Connect · Flow · Finance · Media · Agents.
Is it one subscription for all five modules?
Yes. Connect, Flow, Finance, Media and Agents are one product with one subscription — you do not choose between them, and they share the same clients, bookings and events. Moments, Album Studio and Datasafe are separate products with their own subscriptions.
What happened to Pixerbook CRM and Proofing?
They are now part of the platform. CRM became Connect and Proofing became Media, and both now share their records with Flow and Finance instead of standing alone. Old links to either page bring you to the matching section here.
Will Pixerbook Agents change my data on its own?
No. They draft — a lead from a pasted chat, a payment record, a batch of invoice reminders — and show you what they intend to do. Nothing is saved until you confirm. You can use the built-in model or connect your own.
Can I use my studio from Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Pixerbook has an MCP server. In Agents › Connect apps, pick your app — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini CLI or any other MCP app — copy your studio’s MCP address and add it as a connector. You sign in once, choose Read only or Read & change, and can revoke the key at any time. Every change an agent makes is logged in Agents › Activity.
It says Beta. What does that mean here?
Real studios run on it today, and the feature set is still moving. You are billed the normal rate and you get support, but expect the interface to change more often than it will in a year. If that is uncomfortable, wait for the Live badge.
Do my clients need an account to pick photos or review an album?
No. Media collections are shared as a link. Your client opens it in a browser on whatever phone or laptop they have — there is nothing to install and no password to forget.
Pixerbook Moments
Every photo you’re in, one selfie away.
Do guests need to install an app or create an account?
No. They scan a QR code or open a link, type their name, and take one selfie in the browser. They can add it to their home screen if they want to come back, but nothing is required.
Is the selfie stored?
The selfie image is never written to disk — it is processed in memory and discarded. The face data made from it is kept, scoped to that one event only, so photos synced after the guest scanned still reach them. We say that plainly on the guest page rather than claiming nothing is kept.
Can a guest see other people’s photos?
No. A guest can only open and download photos they are matched in. Originals are served through a check that the guest’s session matched that photo, so photo links cannot be guessed or walked.
What happens with photos that are a close call?
They go under “Might be you”, one at a time, for the guest to confirm, and cannot be downloaded until confirmed. The threshold is set so that a wrong photo landing directly in someone’s gallery is rare — under one expected per event.
What do I need to run Sync Station?
Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop at the venue, pointed at the folder your camera or tethering software saves to. It uses a browser feature Safari and Firefox do not have yet.
It says Beta. Can I use it at a real event?
Yes — it already runs real events. Beta means the feature set is still moving and you should expect the studio side to change. Book a walkthrough and we will run your first event with you.
Pixerbook Album Studio
Design albums in minutes.
Is it one app for both Mac and Windows?
It is two native builds and one licence. Your seat works on either, and the project files are identical across both — a designer on a Mac and one on a Windows machine can pass an album back and forth with nothing to convert.
Why a subscription for a desktop app?
A fair question. The subscription covers both platform builds, the printer presets we maintain, and the connection to the Pixerbook Platform. If you would rather own a version outright, say so when you get in touch — it is not offered today, but it is a reasonable thing to want and we would like to know how many people want it.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only to check the licence periodically and to pull selections from the Pixerbook Platform. Layout and export work fully offline, which matters if you design on location or on a plane.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes — 14 days, the full application, no card. Export is watermarked during the trial so you can test the whole workflow including the printer handoff without us having to trust anybody.
Pixerbook Datasafe
The one thing you cannot lose.
It says Beta. Is it safe to trust with my archive?
Beta means the feature set is still moving and the interface will change — not that your files are at risk. Keep your local copies as you do today; Datasafe is the offsite copy alongside them, which is the 3-2-1 rule with the offsite part actually done. If you have a back catalogue you are worried about, say so when you book a walkthrough and we will set it up with you.
What does it cost to get my files back?
Nothing. Restores are included and there is no egress charge, on both plans. A backup you have to pay to use in an emergency is not a backup, and charging for recovery at the worst moment of someone's year is not a business we want to be in.
Where is the data stored?
That question deserves a specific answer rather than a vague one, and we are not going to publish a region until the infrastructure is final. Ask before you commit and you will get the actual answer, including which provider, which region, and what happens if we stop trading.
Does it replace my external drives?
No — it is the offsite copy, and you should keep a local one. The agent maintains a second local copy as well, so a normal setup is: the card, a local drive, and Datasafe. That is the 3-2-1 rule, with the offsite part actually done.
